Walking routes

You could try the John Buchan way that stretched 13 miles from Peebles to Broughton, it mainly follows established hill tracks so it’s a great route for beginners. Finish off your walk by immersing yourself in the history of Peebles with a trip to the John Buchan Centre.

If you’re a history lover try the Peebles Town trail to learn about our town’s rich heritage, it’s the perfect town walk.

For forest walking, you have plenty of options from long strolls to more intensive hikes. Glentress, Cardrona and Cademuir Forests provide some of the best routes in the country.
