Celebrate the New Year in style with a 3 night break in the heart of Peebles

30th December (arrival)

Arrive from 3pm onwards and relax in the lounge with afternoon tea then enjoy a stroll, before a three course dinner with a glass of fizz is served. The evening finishes with live entertainment from guitarist & vocalist Joe Madden.

31st December

Start the day with a traditional Scottish breakfast, then why not explore some of Peebles before relaxing in our lounge . Then get ready for the big night…

The sumptuous four course gala dinner is followed by live entertainment from the popular band Wireless, then welcome in the bells with a piper and a glass of fizz.

1st January

Our chefs will be front of house in the morning cooking breakfast live just the way you like it, then the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish. Why not learn about the history of The Tontine, or venture further afield and visit The Great Polish Map of Scotland in Eddleston. The day ends with a carvery dinner and entertainment from guitarist & vocalist David McKellar.

2nd January (departure)

The following morning let our chefs spoil you one last time with a live action breakfast, before we bid you farewell.  Haste ye back…

30th December Dinner

Steak bites – Tender marinated bites of rump steak, horseradish aioli
Open lasagna of wild mushroom, truffle, and tarragon, glazed with hollandaise


Minestrone and butter bean soup with parmesan croutons
Raspberry sorbet with mint syrup


Steamed fillet of sole with a filling of spinach mousse, saffron and dill barley risotto, finished with tomato cream
Locally sourced lamb cutlets char grilled, twice cooked chips, buttered panache of vegetable and rosemary jus


Wedge of Strathdon blue, honeycomb and handmade oatcakes
Sticky Ginger Pudding with an orange infused creme anglaise

Hogmanay Gala Dinner

Crisp pork belly, caramelised baby apple, black pudding bonbon, Calvados cream
Crisp smoked Tofu, caramelised baby apple, sweet potato and chickpea falafel, Calvados cream


Raspberry and sorrel sorbet laced with Chambord
Chicken and madeira consommé


Medallions of scotch fillet of beef topped with duck liver pate, porcini and Glayva sauce, dauphinoise potato, crispy kale and confit heirloom carrots
Poached Halibut, lobster bisque, saffron potato, roasted vine cherry tomatoes, samphire
Mediterranean vegetable stack, dauphinoise potato, crispy Kale tomato and oregano jus


Banana bavarois with rum soaked baby bananas, tuile biscuit

    • Outwith 7 weeks – loss of deposit
    • 4 to 7 weeks – 50% cancellation
    • 1-3 weeks – 80% cancellation
    • Within 7 days – 100% cancellation
