Traquair House : One of the 7 great houses of Scotland. It is the oldest continuously occupied house in Scotland, and was the pleasure ground of the Kings of Scotland in times of peace, and the hideaway of catholic priests during their persecution.

Abbotsford House : This is the house built and lived in by Sir Walter Scott, novelist and author of timeless classics. The house has a fine collection of historic relics, weapons and armour, and a large library of rare volumes.

Manderston House : Manderston is the supreme country house of Edwardian Scotland; the swan-song of its era.

Mellerstain House : Superb Georgian House by William and Robert Adam with exquisite plaster ceilings, beautiful period furniture, and a marvellous art collection.

Rosslyn Chapel : The chapel is an enigma, unique and famed throughout the world for its carvings and the aura of mystery and magic surrounding it. Rosslyn with its links to the past has a place in pilgrimage over the centuries. Contains the famous “Apprentice Pillar”.

Thirlestane castle : One of the 7 great houses of Scotland. Originally dating from the 13th century, it became the home of the Maitland family in the 16th century. The nursery has a unique collection of historic toys.

Floors Castle : Floors is the largest inhabited castle in Scotland and the home of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe and their family.
