Terms and conditions of booking your Wedding Reception at The Tontine Hotel
Once a date has been arranged and a provisional booking has been made, which will be held for 14 days, written confirmation together with a £250.00 deposit to secure your booking will be required.
20 weeks before the wedding date we will require 25% of the total cost
12 weeks before the wedding date we will require a further 25% of the total cost
4 weeks prior to the reception date we will require a further 50% of the total cost
In the event of a cancellation all deposits paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The hotel will require full details 4 weeks prior to the reception date. The final price will only be confirmed when the function details are finalised. The contract figure should be as accurate as possible as this is will be the basis on which cancellation charges will be levied.
Any amendment should be received in writing.
The hotel must receive final numbers 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Cancellation and Postponement of Booking
Cancellation or postponement of the event will result in following charges
below becoming due. In each case the percentage is based on the advanced
notice of cancellation given and applies to the estimated total cost of the
booking:
Between 26 and 12 weeks before the event is due to take place: 25%
Between 12 and 4 weeks before the event is due to take place: 50%
From 4 weeks to event date: 100%
Cancellation by the hotel
The hotel may cancel the booking any time without liability to the client if:
a) Any part of the hotel is closed or unable to operate for any reason beyond
the hotel's control.
b) If you or we become insolvent, or in the case of an individual, becomes
subject to bankruptcy petition.
c) The booking the person associated with the booking and/or the purpose
of the event might damage the reputation of the hotel or the company.
The hotel will endeavour to replace a cancelled event and if successful in doing so may waive any cancellation charges.
Corkage
No wines, spirits, food or beverage may be brought into the hotel or grounds by or on behalf of the client or any guests for consumption on the hotel premises unless the prior consent of the hotel has been obtained, for which a charge will be made.
Damage
The client shall be responsible to the company for any damage caused to the allocated rooms of the furnishings, utensils and equipment therein or to the hotel generally by any act, default or neglect of the client or any sub-contractor, employee or guest of the client and shall pay to the company on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.
Guests, clothing and personal property
The Company does not accept responsibility for the property of the client or its guests. Cloakrooms are provided for the convenience of clients and guests, but any goods deposited in the cloakrooms or left unattended on the hotel premises are deposited at the owners risk and without any liability on the party of the company.
