Planning Your Wedding Ceremony in Peebles

Here at the Tontine Hotel we believe that every wedding is individual, and our aim is to create a perfect wedding day that leaves you completely relaxed to enjoy your special occasion. Our elegant Adam Dining Room provides the perfect surroundings for your Wedding Reception and our competitively priced tailor made menus, along with an excellent choice of wines and table decorations chosen to suit your specific needs and requirements. All our food is prepared to order from local fresh produce.

Arrange a meeting with our wedding co-ordinator, Kathleen, at the Tontine. She will go through with you what you will require, show you our facilities and explain what we have to offer.

Upon provisional reservation of your wedding day with us, you will need to contact the registrar and if you are having a religious ceremony, the minister. They will then check availability for the day required and will make the appropriate reservations for you.

We will hold your provisional booking for a maximum of 14 days. Upon written confirmation of the date and time of your wedding together with the appropriate deposit, we will confirm the booking back to you in writing. You should now book transport, cake, flowers, entertainment and photographer etc.

We will arrange to meet with you again a few months before your wedding to agree your specific requirements and vital details such as menu, drinks package, timings, key guests etc. Following this second meeting we write to you to confirm the details as discussed and request you respond to confirm back that these details are in order. Final details such as exact numbers etc should be agreed no later than one week before your wedding.

You may wish to consider exclusive use of the hotel for you and your party, creating the ultimate wedding experience.

Numbers

We welcome weddings from 20 to 70 guests. We can comfortably accommodate 70 guests in our Adam Dining Room for the wedding breakfast and 90 for the evening buffet. We have 36 rooms, capable of accommodating 68 guests in total.
