Car Parking
There is parking both to the front and the rear of the hotel. At the rear of the hotel there is an automatic electronic entry system, which is connected to the reception desk.
Payment of Accounts
Cheques are acceptable when supported by, and within the limits of, a current cheque card. The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express
Check In
Check in is by 14.00 hours or possibly earlier by prior arrangement.
Check Out
Please check out of your room prior to 11.30am. Should you require to leave your luggage longer this can be attended to at reception. Please respect these timings as the hotelm requirements to service guest rooms for arriving parties takes time.
Valuables
The management cannot accept responsibility for guests' effects left on the premises, but a valuable item may be deposited for safekeeping against a receipt signed by the Manager or a member of reception staff. This receipt must be retained as it will be required as the authority for the item to be withdrawn from deposit.
Medical & Dental
24 hour emergency medical service is available in the Scottish Borders.
Communications
Wireless Internet, provided by Swisscom Eurospot is available throughout the hotel. Each bedroom also has a direct dial telephone with voicemail
Laundry Service
A laundry service is available, please ask at reception. This is provided by a local company. This service is not available at weekends. Please ask at Reception for a quotation and a due date for the return of the laundry.
Smoking
We have a limited number of smoking rooms and smoking is restricted within the public areas of the hotel, from March 2006 the hotel will be totally non-smoking to comply with the government legislation
Pets
We accept small, well behaved dogs. Dogs must not be left unattended in the bedroom and are not allowed in any public areas (with exception to guide dogs). Any damage or soiling will be charged at full cost which the hotel has incurred
Tourist Information
We have an extensive supply of information on places to visit and things to do within the Borders. Some of this information is contained in a book within the rooms. As as last resort the Tourist Information office is less than 25m along the High Street.
Breakfast
A full Scottish or Continental Breakfast (Rolls and Croissants to be pre ordered the evening before) is served in the Adam Room between the following times: Monday to Saturday 7.30am - 9.30 am Sunday 8.00am - 10.00am
Morning Coffee
Tea & Coffee are available in the Callants Lounge all day. Why not try some of our homemade shortbread or scones?
Lunch
Lunch is served daily in the Tweeddale Shoot Bar and in the Restaurant between the following times: 12 noon - 2.00pm
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea is served in our Callants Lounge between the following times: 2.30pm - 5.30pm
Dinner
Choose from our three course evening menu, available in our Adam Room Restaurant between the following times: 7.00pm - 8.45pm Please contact reception to reserve a table.
Special Diets
We can cater for just about any special diet, advance warning is required
Packed and Picnic Lunch
Should you be planning a day out or a long journey, we will be happy to provide you with a picnic lunch. Please order with reception by 9.00pm the previous day. Gourmet packed lunches with Champagne, Smoked Salmon etc ... are also available
